Thanks for posting. Before I can confirm what Series channel balance you have, I'll have to figure out what your bottom shoe is. Please look at the measurements for our 15-001 and 15-002 bottom shoes and note their depths. As you can see, they are 1-1/8" deep and 1" deep, respectively. Which measurement more closely resembles your own shoe?

I think it's 1 1/8. (More like 1 1/16)

another couple are stamped with 33 4 FO CALDWELL

thanks,
David

Great! Thanks, David. Take a look at our S390-34 channel balance. Does that look about right? For the options, you may want to consider the 3350 and 3340 for your respective balance pairs. Just make sure to check the weight ratings shown for these options to ensure that your sash weight matches.

Hi Tom,

I have three more questions:

A couple of my windows (I have ten of the same window) slide up easily, stay up fine, but require a lot of effort to close... do you have any idea what is causing this problem and I need to do about it...

Another window opens and closes, but makes a scraping noise on one side... what is the cause and remedy for this prole?

How do I decide what weight to get? do I need to weigh the window sash?

thanks,
David

Thanks for getting back to us, David. For the window that can't close easily, it's possible that you don't have the appropriate strength spring. What is the weight of the sash, and what is the stamp printed on the metal channel?

As for the window that scrapes, I'm not sure what that could be. It may just be the age of the balance showing. Is it something recent, or has it always been noisy?

To determine the weight of your sash, you will have to weigh it.
